Upon checking out, things took a turn for the worse. The lane was open and empty of other customers with the clerk waiting at the register. We smiled at the clerk and started putting our things on the belt. He nodded and walked to the next lane. I'm thinking they asked him a question or needed his help. I was mistaken. He was chatting up the female in line. After waiting a couple minutes, I asked him if lane 7 was a self check out. To which he replied "Yes".
The gal at register immediately went to the next order, and I was already opening my mouth to ask for a receipt. She then yells across the counter holding fresh salads for another employees' key, and asks for his code. He tells her, but it's incorrect. She then yells out to the other 2 employees in her area "what's your numbers?" The older lady says they are not supposed to give them out, and why does she need them...she yells back that a customer wants a receipt and she has to reprint it. Now, I used my debit card and got cash back-I want my receipt, thank you very much! After maybe 5 full minutes of this ridiculousness, I say never mind, I'll just get it from my bank. She just says ok.
It was a classic experience. This place has it all and my favorite part pf my sams club shopping is the FREE samples. Thats right eat free samples while shopping for all your favorite foods.
Used to love this place, but now they carry less of the things I come in specifically to buy. Service in general is excellent, but my biggest issue is the little deli up past the checkouts.
The store was clean and well organized. The lady who helped us set up our membership and introduced us to the store was very helpful and friendly. I do wish I could remember her name, as I think credit should be given where it is deserved.
Today was the first trip to Sam's Club for myself and my family and we enrolled in a membership. I do think the products and cost will make the cost of membership well worth it.
So, to Martin, our horny cashier, please save your attempts to get laid for your time, not mine. And you really shouldn't be doing it on company time with customers.
I look forward to going to Sam's Club every week because of great buys and friendly folks. They have everything I need to buy.
I would have rated this higher, but Martin made me want to cancel my membership right then. I'm still on the fence about whether or not I will cancel and take my business elsewhere or not.
Prices are good, and staff is cheerful as well as polite. I have always had a great shopping experience. Thank you to all your staff.
Irritated since it didn't have a self check out sign, I headed around the back to work the scanner. He promptly came over and started scanning our items. And proceeded to chat up the woman behind us in line.
They dont even OFFER ypu a receipt.
On top of this, the one thing I ordered was overdone and crunchy instead of soft-waste of my money in the end.
How unprofessional!
